I have an 09 Argentine Mauser. I just bought an 09 Argentine bayonet. but it didn't mount to the rifle. I've looked at a few 09 Argy photos and noticed that my barrel band and front band/bayonet lug are slightly different from most photos. In the event my rifle needs a front barrel band and bayo lug/band, where is the best place to locate such items? Thanks to anyone who can answer. By the way, it's a pretty straight shooter and is very nice to just sit on the couch and handle......over and over..... :wink:

Did a bit more research

Upon further review it looks like I have a 1909 Argentine Rifle basically. It happens to have a Argy Model 1909 Receiver, bolt, trigger group, etc., but with a 1908 Brazillian Stock and hardware. After viewing quite a few other Argy 09s and Brazillian 1908s that's what I've come to realize.
