I don't vote for anyone the nominating committee selects, unless I have a very good reason. I vote for everyone else, unless I have a very good reason.

I thought I was the only one that couldn't stand Joaquin Jackson. I hate to say it but he's a Texan and former Ranger. Dean and my very close friend Jim Nicholson, now deceased, were there when the Knox Revolt took place. La Phew never forgave or forgot.

Well, the old Ranger just lost my vote. = The Second Amendment is NOT about hunting, unless you mean hunting enemies of The Constitution, both foreign & domestic.

The ONE time that I ever actually NEEDED a firearm for farm defense, I would have liked to have had something better than my old shotgun, as I was facing 4 "drugged-up" criminals, who were threatening that "if you don't open the door & let us in, we'll burn your *** out."
(The local county patrol's Lieutenant later told me that they HAD 2 "Molotov cocktails", 4 rifles & a .32ACP pistol & had the SO's officers NOT arrived when they did, that he was SURE that they WOULD have thrown them onto the roof or against the wall of the farmhouse.)

ADDENDA: The day after my "long night of fear", I went to a local gun-shop & bought a Ruger stainless Mini 14, 4 20-round magazines. & 100 rounds of 5.56NATO ammo

As it was NOT hunting season, don't ask me why that I went back to the townhouse & picked up my shotgun & a container of shells. - Just LUCKY, I'd guess.
(From the time that I called 9-1-1, it took the first SD vehicle over 35 minutes to arrive. = It SEEMED like at least 35 years, too.)

Unfortunately, as long as sorts like Dave Workman at SAF are willing to treat "fair-weather friends" like Jackson the same as real, consistent allies... I generally respect Dave, I just think he's a tad misguided about the threat presented by a lurking Enemy Within.

THANKS for telling me. = I've spent so much time at the hospital & rehab centers with my beloved over the last 2 years that I've "missed a lot" & have been on this site only "sometimes".
