On of my lovely wife's friends is grudge selling one of her ex hub's rifles.

It's a Remington 6MM 700 BDL with Simmons glass.

Older gun with a few dings to the furniture but the action and bore are just fine.

Nice trigger.

I've looked at the usual sites but I'm trying to put a number on it so I can move it for her.

Thanks in advance.

Waltgfraham,

I bought my BDL for 425.oo in GOOD shape with a B&L BALTUR scope.

yours, sw
That's what I paid for my 1969 BDLV (varmint) in .243, in 2005 or 2006, but no scope.

I think a 6mm will go for a little less than a .243 just because the caliber is less popular.

Also, see if you can find out what the twist is. At one point Remington tightened up the twist to better compete with .243, but I don't remember offhand what year they did that.

I have an offer of 5 bills so far, that might be the winning bid.
That's probably about right, today.

I remember when I was in college, working in the sporting goods store, 700 BDLs were normally $229.00, but on sale they'd be $199.00. ADLs on sale were $179.99. They were almost all .30-06s, some .270s. I can't remember if we ever had any short actions or other calibers--at least not at the sale price. We might have had a few other calibers at regular prices.

We had similar prices on 1100s, too. 12 ga only, of course. I never saw a 20. 870s were cheaper.
