Good evening fellas....and ladies! I came across an AR Sales Mark IV and I was looking for some information on them. This was the first place I was able to find anything so here I am! Great information Different, thank you! My uncle was part of Walker Machine Co. down in California and when I saw his rifle I wanted to do some research on it being that the only M1A I knew of was the ones we carried in Iraq. Anyway, this seems like a good place to get plugged in. Any input would be great.

An internet search on AR sales Mk IV found a thread on an FAL board that went into massive detail on the rifles.

Short form: they were built on cast receivers using GI surplus parts. The receivers differed slightly from GI in the area of the selector switch. Overall quality unknown, given the low number allegedly produced, doesn't seem like a successful venture.

There have been mulitple attempts to make M1As (BTW, I highly doubt there were M1As in Iraq. M14s, yes), Springfield Armory is the only maker who succeeded in staying in business. Quality of the others was, to be kind, highly variable. Many used cut receivers that were welded back together.
