Well put. I could not help but notice in the recent leaked E-Mails involving certain FBI Agents that they state that the concept of using the FISA Warrant to try Trump; or by extension, Trump Campaign Officials, was a "Backup Plan."
This makes me wonder what the original plan was, if the Prosecutions were a backup plan. My only conclusion is that the FBI and DOJ were initially doing this to achieve a similar purpose as Nixon's "Plumbers" were aiming to accomplish: Gathering information on the Trump Campaign to funnel to the Hillary Clinton Campaign.
Except, the Plumbers may have been former FBI Agents working for the Nixon Campaign, but these are active duty FBI and DOJ Personnel in this case. That is a rather important difference. The level of abject meltdown on CNN lately makes me wonder if certain folks in the media know this. I wonder if or when they will stop doubling down on a wrong position. If they continue on that path it will not be good for the country. What we are learning is really bad.
Now, if I want to really put on my classic Art Bell era Coast to Coast AM Conspiracy Theorist hat, I have to also wonder if the take from the new "Plumbers" was also being forwarded to certain folks in the media. As the FISA stuff is supposed to remain tight, that is also a major legal taboo. Given the relation of Donna Brazile to the network, and the situation with the leaked debate questions, one wonders if that might include certain folks at CNN. Of course, this is only the conspiracy theory paragraph. I can't anchor it in what is out there. I feel pretty safe making the guess about the original nature of the probe, though. Nobody in D.C. seems to be barking up that tree, though. I have to hope they are looking.
