Yeah, the wife and I have been following this. Creepy, well acted and written, but my oh my, it is adult's only fare.

I think this show has pushed the restrictions of non-premium networks (like AMC and FX) further than any other.

Ain't Jessica Lange GREAT in this, though?

It is genuinely creepy. And very different--not like Walking Dead or anything else I can think of at all.

It's a creepy, dark soap opera. I hate to say I "recommend" it because I can see it's definitely not for everyone, but I can say that, so far at least, it's "Snakeworthy." I hope the wrapup isn't disappointing.

If you're gonna try it, I'd say give it at least the first three episodes. If you're not hooked by then, don't waste any more time on it. But don't give up after the first episode.

On my cable's on-demand system, no more than the last two episodes are up at any given time.

The pay channels, they'll leave the whole season up. I guess that's a sale point to entice new subscribers--a good idea.

I've noticed that some of the basic cable channels only have their programs on on-demand a whole week late (AMC, History Channel). I guess this is because they'd really prefer you to watch the show "live" the week they're running and rerunning it so you can see all the commercials.

I'm still using old-school VHS, but I do the same thing for almost everything now. I can watch two hours of TV in an hour and a half.

When I take over, there will be a five-year moratorium on TV ads for cell phones (and services) and car insurance. :x

Funny, I d/l the pilot and the wife and I did give up after that. Maybe we should give it some more time.

I have always been a fan of Jessica Lange but i was surprised when I realized who she was in the pilot.

It's kinda wild. I don't think I've ever seen another show where by the fifth or sixth episode, you both loathe and also kinda like every single character in the thing.

Also, some interesting guest shots, including Siler from Heros, and Eric Stonestreet, the straight (!!!!) actor who plays the fabulously gay Cameron on Modern Family, which might be my current favorite character on all of TV at the moment (he is hilarious!).

Last night's episode was good, but twisted--very, very twisted and dark. I don't think I've ever seen anything like this this side of an R-rated movie.

This show is definitely not for everyone. Don't say you weren't warned.

Agreed! VERY dark, VERY creepy! Even the sex, which is rampant, isn't...sexy. Graphic maybe, but not sexy. It's use as a vehicle in the plot actually makes it...well, evil if that makes any sense.

And the evilness and creepiness continue....

This series might well go down as a cult-fan classic....

Darker and darker as we go. Just read it's been renewed for a second season. How far can they take this, or will there be a new family in Murder House by then? :-?

Yes, it's definitely one long story with various twists and secrets revealed as we go. I think you saw episode 9 or 10, so you're way behind. No wonder it made no sense to you.

Season finale last night. They wrapped up the story quite nicely, yet left enough of an opening for a new season. Not bad at all.
