Probably doesn't have a chance in hell of getting through the Senate or past the Prez, but it's a nice thought.

It wouldn't surprise me if most folks simply considered the 2nd Amendment as their license to carry a firearm, in all of the 57 states.

Okay, now that I've gotten back up off the floor (You really shouldn't do that to me, Walt) I gotta admit I like the way you think.

I'm no constitutional scholar, but I can read english. The wording of the 2nd ammendment, to me, seems to unequivocably suppport your contention. Unfortunately, the Supremes have allowed how the states can restrict the possession of firearms "reasonably".

This act has a chance, albeit a small one, if it can be attached to a larger, "more important" piece of legislation. You know, through the back door.

Time will tell...
