About two months ago I stopped by a local gunshop and saw an ammo can with 400 rounds in cartons of what appeared to be M2 ball, but labelled "AN-M2" with a headstamp of RA 57. I paid $50 for the lot.

Before loading up some enblocs, I surfed the net and see that this ammo is listed for sale on ammo-one.com for $1.75 PER ROUND and on leclairdavis.com for $1.00 PER ROUND.

Can this be true....????? If so, I'm seriously thinking of converting the ammo into another garand or two!

Suspect if you tried selling that stuff to Ammo-One you would not get anywhere near that price. IIRC he/they were getting about $1.25 for Korean PS and KA individual rounds. I have been buying 400 rounds of the PS variety from Widener's for $84 delivered = $.21 ea. At $1.25 a pop 400 rounds = $500. You did very well in your purchase.
