I've been keeping one up and downstairs for bear contingencies, but I'm going to have to reassess storage now that I have a couple of munchkins in the house.
That does change things, Walt. Had to do a little reassessing myself when my two grand-munchkins transitioned from toddling to taking my car out for a test drive (did I mention they were on the precocious side?). :)

The worst part of that is it sounded like the cop was berating her for doing it right.

When I grew up that was called first degree burglary at night and an affirmative defense for shooting the sucker.

I know... we're a kinder, gentler world now.

Spot on,

If you ask me, I think the guy is VERY lucky that she was a nice lady. An older woman alone, she could have shot him and NO ONE would have even questioned.

I do like her idea of putting him in the closet though, not bad. Unfortunately my walk in closet has a window...Gonna have to think of a "safe room" to put some SOB in if I'm ever in the same situation (let's hope not).

We would give her a "You Done Good" award.

Still think she should have put that pit bull mix in the closet with the scumbag.
