A man who tried to shoot seven puppies was shot himself when one of the dogs put its paw on the revolver's trigger. Jerry Allen Bradford, 37, was charged with felony animal cruelty and was being treated for a gunshot wound to his wrist.>>

Call me crazy, but I caught my beagle trying to open a gun case with an S&W J-frame inside. If she figures out how to work a lever action rifle, I'm dead!

This has a distinct eau de hoax, and I love the possibility that CNN was scammed! (And CBS, too! Love the graphic!)

There was something like this making the rounds of the 'Net several years ago, which was in fact a hoax. (See #4.)

And of course Cows With Guns has been a delightful reality for a number of years! (Listen carefully or you'll miss great lines like "Cow-Tse Tongue.")

Well, if it's a hoax, our local FOX affiliate got scammed as well, since they had the story on last night, complete with video of the puppies.
