I own one (an M19 2.5") and I can tell you that I consider the common 3" fixed-sight heavy barrel K, whether 10, 13, 64, or 65, to be a much more practical gun. (No, I'm not interested in selling mine, though.)

(No, I'm not interested in selling mine, though.)I really love K frame S&W's. If I could just find one of these in the round butt, 2 1/2" barrel format (the next time I have some disposable cash)...ahhhh, heaven!![]()
I've learned never to say "they never made such a thing" about S&W, but I don't believe they ever regularly produced and cataloged a RB 2.5" M15. (They DID make such in the .357 M19, though.) Closest I know of was the SB 2" M15, which I personally consider the most useless gun they ever built (well, until some of their silly zooty stuff of the last decade, anyway). I know that others here have other opinions of the thing. Now, I've gotta keep my eye open for a Model 15 with a 4 inch barrel (did they make a round butt 2 1/2 inch M-15?).
