I read in my paper this morning that Bob Hoover has died at the age of 94.
WHAT A STUD!!!

In his golden years he was most known for his air shows and aerobatics while flying a twin engine corporate prop aircraft with the engines shut down.

Most have never read about the man's life and the amazing life he lead. Jimmy Doolittle called him the "Greatest stick and rudder man who ever lived", and he was probably right. If all goes to hell, that's the best man in the world to get an aircraft on the ground.

His exploits are just too many to list.

I had the pleasure of shaking his hand once, and saw him perform at air shows two or three times.

Easily one of the most skilled pilots who ever lived.
