I just finished it. I'd give it about 3.5 stars. It's worth watching but there are some places where it strains credulity. There's a lot of pistol spinning, plus the usual Hollywood inaccuracies such as horses being ridden at a gallop for miles, the rattlesnake that stalks humans as if they're prey, a lot of lever-actions being shuck-shucked unnecessarily, and a High Noon-type shootout of the type we're told probably never happened.

The one shining area that redeems it is Jeff Daniel's performance. It might be almost on par with Val Kilmer's Doc Holiday.

I kinda felt that way about the final season of Longmire. It required a lot more "willing suspension of disbelief" than the earlier seasons.

CaptainGyro is correct on the shoot out nonsense. Okay Coral was an accident in that the Earps weren't all that law abiding - gamblers and ran bordellos.

The best thing about the last season of Longmire we weren't force fed a wedding between Walt and Vicie.
