Second Amendment activists are wearing big smiles today in West Virginia after the House of Delegates yesterday passed a measure to allow concealed carry without a permit by more than a 2-to-1 margin, while in neighboring Virginia, the gun prohibition lobby has furiously turned on Gov. Terry McAuliffe for restoring CCW reciprocity agreements with 25 states.
McAuliffe is the target of a full-page advertisement in today's Richmond Times-Dispatch, paid for by anti-gun billionaire Michael Bloomberg's Everytown for Gun Safety lobbying organization, as noted by the Washington Post. The Democrat governor's restoration of concealed carry reciprocity with more than two-dozen states is seen as a definite victory for gun owners, both in Virginia and those from other states who travel to the Old Dominion and don't care to leave their self-defense rights at the border.
