Ar10 issues

I have a pretty new ar10, I've ran a few hundred rounds through it and haven't had any real issues, a occasional fte, I took it apart cleaned it and then took it to the range, and out of 20 rd I couldn't get it to cycle, it would extract the brass but not eject it then feed a live round under it, so I figured it was the ammo, so I cleaned it again and tried today with a different ammo and still same issue, the ejector is nice and tight and the extractor works only if I load one round at a time, I'm using a newer (maybe 150rda) 25rd pmag that has always worked before, this is driving me crazy and the manufacturer just says to clean it better

I generally find that problems like the ones that you describe are caused by battered/bent/poor quality magazines.

IF I was you, I would be seeking at least 2-3 more NEW quality magazines.

Who made your rifle? There are several makers of AR-pattern rifles firing .308. From what I can tell, they are NOT the same...

It is a LR style from a manufacturer in Florida, and I tried a second magazine today, it would function if I held up on the magazine, which tells me that it could be the magazines, I find it funny that 2 different pretty new pmags could go bad so fast but stranger things have happened

Is yours a short barrel gun? If so one issue that's common is extractor bounce which causes the extractor to slip over the rim when fired, so when the bolt starts its travel back, the extractor is not over the rim. If it happens on a rifle with a very clean chamber here's what you get...Bolt travels back, when chamber pressure drops to where the case has less of a grip on the chamber, then chamber pressure pushes the case out. Meanwhile the bolt starts it's return trip, and strips the next round out of the magazine. The military fixed this by installing an o-ring under the extractor around the extractor spring. Later models had heavier springs.

So here's how to check if this is happening to you. Fire single shot, with no magazine in the rifle. Load one, strip the round into the chamber, remove the magazine, then fire. If you get a case that falls through the magazine well, or a round that gets stuck in the action but the rim is forward of the extractor, then that's your problem.

No it is not short barreled, and loading a single shell will function 99% of the time, I have been in contact with the manufacturer and I am gonna send the upper in, but I agree it could be the extractor spring, what confuses me the most is it functioned almost flawless for 400rds, I had done mild cleaning but when I do a deep clean it decides it doesn't wanna function
