That was my granddad. Nothing that man couldn't do to a firearm given time and the resources. When I turned 16, granddad (Archie) asked me what he could build for me. I told him I loved the 348 winchester cartridge, but due to shoulder problems I couldn't work a lever action smoothly (the only firearm the 348 win was ever chambered in was the Winchestet Model 71, a lever action). He told me.to give him about a week. He made me a custom bolt action rifle: Express Sights, beautiful heavy stock, deep, rich bluing, custom barrel, and built off a sturdy 1917 Enfield action. Still have it and on my bucket list to take it to Alaska to go after the Big Three up there.
