I bought a Remington 700 left handed in around '94(?) from Whittaker's Gun shop and it took it to Archie and asked him to bed the action. He looked at my 7mmRem and he said "I have chamber ream for a 7mmSTW that I've used only once." Archie was smiling at me and I thought for about a second and asked how much? He said said "You do a lot of business here, $35." I said let's do it. I think he charged me $20 labor + parts. When I picked it up he had bedded the action, reamed the chamber for a 7mmSTW, mounted a one piece Redfield base and rings AND turned the barrel to absolute zero headspace. I still have the rifle. It's a needle driver. It has taken many deer, coyotes and 1 Kentucky bull elk in 2011. I love and cherish this rifle and the story I have behind it.
