I've hesitated to post this, but as I've been shoveling gravel for the last couple of hours, there's been time to contemplate trees and tactics. Comments :?:

Law suit...

I think the Sierra Club is filing law suit against the shooter... :twisted:
Aside from the fact that a respected NY barrister is (was) a member of this board, I have a couple of observations. The tree obviously violated the primary rule of gunfighting (no gun) and showed pretty poor movement to cover skills :lol:

That's okay, Walt. We lawyers are used to being targets for cheap shots. However, the "cheap shots" are usually metaphoric, and not from a deranged guy with a snubby.

With no disrespect to the tree, or the lawyer, it isn't often that we get to see a real world shooting. There are lots of lessons:

Even though he was shot the victim didn't fall down and both parties finally just walked off

The gal on the phone was far more entertaining

You really do accelerate the bullet by flinging the gun (Hopalong was right :p )

You can miss a whole lot closer than you'd think.

Trigger control does matter.
