I have never had a Pro Mag for .30 Carbine BUT have had problems with their mags for my Bushmaster M4orgery. I have "heard" Pro Mags magazines are known to be troublesome.

BTW -- as far as bolt stops; originally 15 round mags in WW2 did not have this feature; it was adopted with the 30 round mags for the M2 Carbine.
Military 30 rnd M2 mags had them. With modern commercial 30 rounders some have them and others don't. I have some of each. Awhile ago I bought some 30s from Cheaper than dirt and they did not have them; I just recently bought several more -- ostensibly the exact same magazine -- and they had the bolt stop. Also, they were fabricated in a slightly different way. Both types work OK though.

IMHO if it says "Pro Mag" on it .... RUN. RUN AWAY!!!!!

Why raise Hell with them? They didn't make them. Why not tell them you have a problem and ask what they will do to help you? just return them and buy a different brand.

They also are checking on the problem as stated above and will be sending me 2 new 30rd mags after said problem is resolved

Gentlemen, for 30 round mags to work properly in a M1 Carbine, you need to install a M2 mag.catch. It's designated by a M with a line under it. It has a protrubence on the backside that holds the mag in place. the M1 catch allows the 30 rounder to tilt and cause FTFs.
