Out of all the maneuvers you see here most people don't realize that one of the most challenging is a rejoin back into formation after you've split up. You have a lot of overtake and your timing in dissipating it has to be perfect to stop exactly in position. You can't step on the brakes like you can in a car; throttle, speed brake and g-loading have to be carefully coordinated.

The rejoin at 3:05 is pretty well done. Guy's got skills.

it's actually easier if you forget about driving altogether and think about how you skate or play hockey- become one with the plane/aircraft and image where you want to end up rather than drive there- I used to do oshkosh
