Any Bren Ten fans/owners out there? I'm a proud owner of a Marksman Special in .45 ACP. I bought it NIB and have less than twenty rounds through it.

I had a Marksman, #44 (a friend had #45 which I wanted). At any rate I was supposed to receive a 10mm upper for it but they never came through - but I did get some mags which I understand is a plus

At any rate I found a good Bren X and traded off the Marksman for a LAR Grizzly (probably a bad trade but then I am not the brightest bulb in the string).

I got to shoot the first prototype Bren (cases were made from .30 Remington brass) and have a picture of it somewhere around here. Too bad it did not make it but I still prefer the 1911 for all around durability.

Nice site BTW!

Best regards,

Jim - Great to see you here. Welcome to the site!

My Marksman is #63. It came with an owners manual and a single magazine. I've seen magazines for sale from anywhere between $100-150 each. You traded yours for a Grizzly? Our resident Doc is on call at special discount rates for forum members
Thanks, it is a nice site! I know what you mean about the Doc - unfortunately it is not my worst deal  Live and learn.

Press on,

Jim,

If that wasn't your worst deal what, pray tell, was? :?: :?:

Now, I may have a couple good trades to counteract your bad karma trades. How about a Gunsite Service Pistol for a Glock 17, or a Freedom Arms 454 for $750 with free Reversed Crown and Porting from Mag-Na-Port.

Oh, and howdy!
I'm a fan!!

Used to stay up late and sneak into the living room to watch Miami Vice. I'd love to won one but its out of reach for a college kid.

Right off the top of my head, I traded off a pre-war Colt Woodsman experimental match pistol (it had a round barrel) that would shoot 1/4" groups at 25 yards from rest for a High Standard SuperMatic Citation (which I ended up trading off for a knife - if that tells you how accurate that one was). Or a *nickel* Diamondback .38 for a Winchester '67 Canadian commorative (which is still only worth about $250), then there was the sad case of the .510 Wells Express (built by Fred Wells) that I traded off....

I can't bear to go on  But it is nice to know someone may be in my league (misery loves company):D

Very best regards,
Jim H.
