Sorry, old friend, I get the Mike Papa (MP) but you'll have to enlighten me re "CS". Am I just having another of my thick-skull days? (Which are frequent, and run in the family--my mother, you could break a sledgehammer against her head.)

"CS" is COMBAT SUPPORT Military Police actions/units/persons. - This is to say NOT "white hat" & mostly:
1, Drug interdiction units,
(Mostly serving OCONUS)
2. Convoy Escort,
3. MSR & rail security.
4. Rear Area Combat operations,
5. Division MP company/small unit combat,
6. EPW guard & transport units,
7. Combat Recon operations,
8. Counter-guerrilla operations,
9. SWAT type units/operations
and
10. Any other combat MP operation that closely resembles LIGHT INFANTRY or LIGHT CAVALRY operations, in concert with a supported unit or separately employed in a combat zone.

Note: Lots of us "mud MPs" started out as "Infantry-types" & lots of the CS MPs that weren't first Infantry SM went to the USAIS at Ft Benning.
