I'm "familiar with" the bump-fire system BUT have never owned one. = A friend near our WV mountain lair bought one & let us "play about with it" one Sunday PM.
(Seemed to work OK but NOT some thing that I would spend 100 bucks for.)

Which result, saving souls or full-auto fire?Wasn't there a video about using a bungee cord to achieve the same result?
A drum loaded Thompson would be my dream firearm as well...not real accurate but then you don't have to be sending that much lead down stream..Agreed! They're fun...especially when someone else is paying for the ammo...but I just don't find them anywhere near fun enough to justify the cost of owning or shooting one.
Oh, if I was independently wealthy, I'd probably own a Thompson.
But I do think aimed semi auto fire is much more effective in the majority of cases.
