There is legal presumption that flight indicates guilt. Quit playing word games. If. in the hypothetical situation, the old coot left, the act of leaving creates multiple possible legal issues which might negatively impact a justifiable act.

Word Games and legal speak appear to be one and the same to me.

Why should the Old Coot open himself to multiple possible legal issues which would impact him negatively by reporting such an incident when he acted in a completely justifiable manner? Wouldn't it be incumbent on the attacker to report his failure & subsequent injury/injuries and treatment thereof to the relevant Local Authorities?

Ever heard the term: "What's good for the goose is good for the gander?"

What ever happened to if you can't do the time don't commit the crime?

Why is it that the legal system wants to impose punishments on those that are the victims of senseless crimes?

I'll differ to those members within the St Augustine area to explain the growing HOMELESS PROBLEM and rising crime rate directly accountable to this phenomenon. It may have only made the local news? But there are now many HOMELESS FOLKS pushing empty wheelchairs up/down the narrow streets of the "OLD" Historic Streets of St. Augustine.

But the "Old Coots" disabled wife still rides Her wheelchair while giving the Grandchildren "Rides". Yet the Gendarmerie is less vexed because it is unprepossessing. While victim & perpetrator have both received a lesson in reality. :neer:

M118LR doesn't want advice; he wants agreement with what he's already done.
So far, most of the disagreement appears to center on not reporting to the Police. With so many suggesting such action, perhaps it is advice that should be acted upon. Should such a situation/scenario occur in the future I'll have to give such advice deep consideration.

Guess I don't have to agree with the advice, but I Thank Y'all for your efforts, and the advice.
