It sucks that NATO will probably never get a PDW because Belgium and Germany both have veto power to block anything that's adopted. Both PDW's are pretty decent and either would make a great addition. Just like when the US adopted the M1 Carbine (and excellent PDW by the way), the attitude back then was anything beats a pistol; and if you ask me, that still holds true.

I really wish the US would adopt a PDW, or at the very least a very light weight and compact AR would be better than a pistol.
