Folks,
I took a couple days off, sigh too raining for yard work or the range, and made a journey up to Jax and Shooter's of Jacksonville, the big time stocking dealer in NE Fl.

I laid hands on a new SWaMPy Shield and checked out the trigger. For a striker fired DAO it was close to a single action trigger pull on a new Colt 1911!! I note a thumb safety is included. $450 less a penny. I think I would seriously worry about carry without safety and a DAO trigger that light. I know, I know it seems to be the style from the Walther PPQ to some Taurii. But I'm paranoid.

Very Good ergos, fit my hand better than the SWaMPy 9c, better feel than my Kahr 9094, but not nearly as flat. They didn't have a 9mm in stock, just the .40 but some stuff had been boxed for the big Gun Show.

Best triggers of the Day, compact SIG 1911s, cheaper than a "real Colt" Under $1K compared to over $1K and include Novak night sights. The Colt has sharp edged little 3 dot white sights. As a Free Citizen of the Republic I am officially embarrassed for Colt's Patent Firearms.

Geoff
Who squandered all his hard earned money on a new Honda Fit Sport and paying 6 months car insurance for the $90 discount. I really want to win the $205 million Lotto tonight.

I've been eyeballing those myself. And I was looking at new Jeeps too, until I saw what they wanted for them.

At which point I went to AutoZone and purchased a new air freshener for the one that doesn't incur a 500.00 a month payment...

I got to shoot an M&P 9mm compact recently, right after shooting a G17 (well, for two boxes of ammo, it wasn't too bad :p ). I really liked that smooth, curved trigger. The shooter who let me try it also has an XD; he too likes the M&P better.
