In Central America twice I carried an under-folder AK in a duffel bag. Once with three 30 rounders, once with 2-30 rounders and a 40 rounder magazine. Thank God I never even remotely needed them, but it was a nice bit of peace of mind.

I'd kinda like something else that easily goes into not a duffel bag, but a tennis racquet bag such as this.

Now I have a couple of M1 Carbines...I could get an A1 stock for one of those...and that wouldn't be bad at all.

I have an interest in the VZ-58, but I've never even shouldered one with a folding stock. I've fired the fixed stock version and it was fun. Anyone ever play with a folding stock VZ-58?

Thoughts?

Or the Kel-Tec KSG.
26 1/2 inches long with an 18 1/2 inch barrel and two magazine tubes, each holding 7 2 3/4 inch shells.

I've been looking at several ukulele bags on Amazon.
Uk's come in three sizes so I can fit the KSG in one.
You might do a search on Amazon, you can probably find one big enough for most folding stock guns.

Repro A1 stocks are available at reasonable prices again. But several other folding stocks have been made for M1 over the years. I think I've seen sidefolders (Choate? Ramline?) and a wire stock like the M3 Grease Gun. I think Fed Ord had an under-folder like an MP40, too. Or did they only do that one for 10/22?

But of course the M1A1 stock would have by far the highest CDI factor.

WASR-10 side folder in my back up GTFO bag, a stylish Babolat duffle from my long ago tennis days.

I usually carry that one when I travel; it ain't like losing a 1200 dollar AR and optic if it gets pinched.

I have some fairly good ways of securing them in a room or in a vehicle while in transit to make them time consuming to steal.

Choate still makes a folder for the M1 carbine. The Tabor would fit in a tennis bag, but it's awful square, awful heavy and has an awful trigger.

The folding stock for the Carbine is certainly an option, and Snake is correct in the CDI factor...but I fear ya'll are really slipping in your duties as "enablers" The Carbine stock would mean NOT buying a new gun. And since when has that been acceptable around here?

Who told you NOT to buy a new Carbine? :p
