I've actually held one, they're awkward and REALLY heavy. They're beautifully made and a really cool engineering feat. But its a case study in just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

one should think that a quality double such as the nitro family could be just as fast as this behemoth- I've seen lots of break-actions in my day and some folks are plenty fast on those too- I can't ever envision being in a situation requiring more than 4 shots unless you're missing a lot

As fond as I am of hammer drillings, Cape-guns & other combination firearms, the 4 & 5 barrel guns in Europe leave me cold just thinking about toting them to the stand.

I saw one at WAFFEN BENNEWITZ that I suspect weighed at least 20-25 pounds. - 9.3x62, 9.3x62 over 16 bore/16 bore & (I think) .22 Hornet or .22 Savage Highpower in the top rib.

While I think it's a pretty piece of gun art, I'd rather have an old fashion double rifle and a couple of gun bearers ready to hand me a backup.
