It is with great sadness I learned of the passing of Jerry Pournelle, a list of his accomplishments would be vast.
He was my political inspiration, made me a computer geek which lead to a much more comfortable career, and allowed me to participate in the original Blog, he did not care for the term.
The Master is dead, there are a host of folks he inspired and encouraged.
