I think it got off to a bit slower of a start than season 1 but we're in it for the long haul. Love the KC gangsters and even Jeffery Donovan is doing a great job.

Agreed. The opener kind of left me wondering where it was going, but now that things are coming into focus, I can't wait for each new episode.

I'm loving the gangsters, especially the scatter gun brothers Beavis and Butthead with their white suits and Amish hats.

Yep, a good story is key, but great acting by really good actors just potentiates the whole deal.

It's a hoot.

Maybe everyone else has already made this connection, but over lunch yesterday we determined that Zahn McClarnon, who plays Dodd's Indian henchman, is the same actor who played Officer Mathias, the tribal police officer on Longmire.

I'm watching both shows simultaneously, and it's essentially the same chip-on-the-shoulder character, with only subtle shadings to differentiate cop and thug.

Television/Hollywood likes to make that look easy, routine even.
