Hey guys, I bought a S&W MP15 a while back with what looks to be a collapsible stock. The only problem, it doesn't seem to collapse. Do I just not know what im doing or what?

Hey guys, I bought a S&W MP15 a while back with what looks to be a collapsible stock. The only problem, it doesn't seem to collapse. Do I just not know what im doing or what?

Such things are made for sale in states with "assault weapons" laws still on the books. Does your state permit them? Did you buy it used from someone in a restricted state?

They are easy to reactivate if you are in an allowable state.

They are allowed here, I've bought my Armalite AR10A2 and an AK with those types of stocks. And i bought this one brand new from a dealer. This one looks like it should collapse, it just doesn't, has the S&W logo and everything on it. It even has the lever you push in that is usually spring loaded for your 4 or 6 point stock. I think it just might be a dummy lever.

I just looked on the S&W website turns out my M&P15ORC is just a fixed stock. Thanks for your help guys.
