Well, better than white flags I guess... as long as they don't wind up on the wrong side of the French Rifle Curse.

There were fears that Isil, al-Qaeda and other Islamist groups were procuring heavy weapons from the stocks of Gaddafi's former army, and that rebel groups were losing control of their own arms.

Another sign of Zero/Hilltery foreign policy if true.

At least they didn't give the cops French Army Rifles.

My Mini has been a model of reliability for 30+ years. It's apparently a Unicorn, grouping 1.25 MOA new. The Mini was our service rifle when my now former employer hired me. Despite using them in industrial quantities, I never saw one as bad as some of the internet claims-and we all know those are legit.

Rumor has it the FAMAS is good to go these days; they've worked the bugs out. I think they're on version 3.0 these days.

There are some French LE Agencies that do use the FAMAS.

The French Special Forces use a whole lot of different weapons, but I think they use the H&K 416 (piston AR) more than anything else.

That folding stock is worth a small fortune these days. Last one I saw lasted about 10 minutes on a table at a gun show and he got $500.00 for just the stock.

I always liked that stock; pretty slick. When folded up, the Mini-14 will tuck into a very small package with that stock.

One of the coolest machineguns I ever shot was a AC-556K, 13" barrel and 3 shot burst control...it was just fun.
