I recall reading something recently in Gun Week about the feds classifying moon clips as armaments and regulating their export. I am admittedly hazy on the details, but I distinctly recall thinking how absurd that the little buggers were being treated as war materiel.
I will try to run down the correct info, but offer this post as a heads-up that Midway (or Brownells, or whomever) may not be able to ship outside the US without satisfying Customs and/or ATFE.
To summarize, it seems that the U.S. State Department was going after Ranch Products for exporting .45 ACP moon clips, which it claimed "are designated as defense articles under Category I(h) of the United States Munitions List."
This story ran in Gun Week one year ago (March 2003) and I do not recall reading anything with an update.
