I recently had a discussion with an acquaintace about the GA Firearms License (GA's carry permit) and got into the code to find the reference to prove my argument and found the code had been reworded in several places!

For example, the section that gave active duty military stationed in GA the same rights as a license holder were reworded to include the words, "... in the line of duty." Big difference.

Another. The wording in the section that attempts to list all the ways and places one cannot carry used to imply, although it was fairly clear, that carrying below the waist (ankle holster) was not permitted. All those words have been changed.

Keep a close eye on those statutes and local ordinances!

Points well made, sensop

changes like this can really hurt you if you're not aware of them. I now make it a practice to check out state statues (via the packing.org link to state web sites) just prior to my trips, then print out the pertinent info and carry with me. This way there won't be any surprises in store for me. :)
