Second season starts tonight. Who's in? I am.

I re-watched all 10 episodes of the first season a couple months ago and enjoyed it even more the second time around. Kinda like a Medieval Sopranos. Power, greed, wealth, sex, survival, family, treachery--some themes are universal across all times and cultures.

A little of that goes a long way. I rather like the theme song and especially the main cello line. The wife and I do watch and we've both read all the books. Well I've read all the books, she listens to audiobooks.

I couldn't read Tolkien but I read all the Ice and Fire books last winter.

Season 3, four eps in: They're off to a rousing start. I think more has happened so far this season than happened in ALL of Season 2 with the exception of the spectacular green napalm naval battle.

Great scene at the beginning of Ep 3 (last week) that seemed inspired by USAF sniper George Reinas on Season 2 of Top Shot on History Channel. Speaking specifically of comments he made in the final "after the competition" wrap-up show. If you saw it, you know what I mean. ;)

We're four episodes into Season 3 now. If you're a year behind, yes, most of Season 2 seemed a bit slow compared to #1 but it almost makes up for it with the big battle scene toward the end of the season. There seems to be a lot more action in Season 3.

The last 10 or 15 minutes of last week's episode was FABULOUS. Danyris ROCKS! :twisted:

I just knew the first second that guy popped off that she spoke the language and was just biding her time. She's smart and has a sense of right and wrong, she'll be tough to beat. Maybe she'll serve up Joffrey as a chew toy for her dragons.

I knew that when she offered to trade the guy a dragon that sooner or later she'd reclaim it. Had no idea it would be THAT much sooner, though! :mrgreen:
