I have always enjoyed his acting, ever since I first noticed him in Forrest Gump. His support of our troops and his efforts to not only entertain them, but to provide much needed help to catastrophically wounded veterans is not just praiseworthy, it is down right honorable.

This is an 8 minute clip, an interview with Sinise by Greta Van Sustren. A wounded GI (quadruple amputee) calls in on his way with his wife and baby girl to their new Smart House provided by Mr. Sinise's foundation. If it doesn't touch your heart at least a little bit...well, I feel sorry for you.

Maybe there should be a federal department that does things like this for vets. It might be a cabinet-level outfit, one that was dedicated to giving back some of what's owed to these folks who have given so much for us. It could be apolitical, keeping the needs of our wounded warriors above petty political considerations. It could be called the Veterans Administration.

Naahhh.

That's just awesome!!! I love to hear about things like that.

Just before the World Cup, I read a story where someone sent a "Football Boot" (meaning, soccer cleat) to Christian Ronoldo, asking him to sign it. They wanted to auction it off to pay for a life saving brain surgery for their son; it was 78,000.00. Ronoldo signed the "boot" and included a check for $78,000.00. Yeah, he's a pro soccer player, but you gotta respect a class move like that.

And it wasn't the first time he did something like that. In 2012 he sponsored a little girl with cancer and paid for her entire cancer treatment.

Our world can use a little more charity. Glad to see Sinise helping out those who help us out the most.

I primarily remember Gary Sinise from the TV series C.S.I. New York. He's a fine actor.
I know that he has always supported our troops and I've seen him apprearing on talk shows discussing his works. He has a band that has played for our troops in the recent wars against terrorists.
Definantly a good guy.:D

EDIT:
Go here and read up on a good man:

Yeah, Cap'n. That's how it should be. But government being what it is, any program demands a bureaucracy, and bureaucracies become living organisms -parasites really - that feed on their host and multiply and grow until they consume everything to keep the bureaucracy alive. The hell with the people it was supposed to help.

I used to always fact check various charities and check out the percentage of donations that went to "administration" versus to the cause they represented. I got real cynical real quick.

IrishCop,

WELL SAID. : HSUS spends about 3% of their total "take" on animal welfare & care. - Over 80% goes to "administration" & more telemarketing. MOST of the rest is donated to Democrat's political causes.

yours, sw
