I need some help identifying this gas cylinder. It came on a SA woodless Dane that I received last month. Hope these pics help. TIA Brad

Everything I'm seeing says SA. Can you show the area you show in the third picture, but the other side (to see the screw staking)?

I believe it to be a World War II Springfield gas cylinder. (They are the only ones to use a letter code, contrary to what Harrison says.)

Gas Cylinder

I am with IHC fan on this. The Alpha code is something I questioned a long time ago, and In a talk w/ Gus Fisher in Richmond, he said it is thought to ID a specific Machine or bench of origin, so that if a problem developed later, the source could be identified to make corrections.
