I have just read this article on Glock frame rail failures with the .40 caliber guns.

Does anyone have model list and a serial number range of the affected pistols?

From the link Dean supplied in the right frame, we know the date range is September 2001 to May 2002. The best way to find the serial and model numbers would be to just call Glock. But here is a link that may help you narrow things down a bit:
