My local fishwrapper reported today that Henry (Nostrils) Waxman, D California is retiring after 40 years in the congress.

Good news indeed, but remember, the Kommifornians will elect someone just as bad, maybe even worse (if that's even possible).

Maybe he will resign early and Jerry Brown take the slot by decree?
I am disgusted at: 1. The lack of term limits. 2. The Violation of the constitution by the 17th Amendment (we need the banning of Roman numerals in laws too) and of course we should save money by having the states pay their Senators however much they wish, appoint the bloke, provide him with staff as they desire, literally establish a State embassy near Washington DC I recommend the VA side for gun laws at least. To save money send the Lt. Governor. Of course I also want to cut staffing, expand the House to 776 or 1776 members, insure each state has at least 5 congress critters and apportion them by population. Hopefully this, with term limits will get real local representation, or at least spread the bribe money farther and dilute it.
