Got close to the President today
The credit union I work for is about 100 yards from the main gate for MacDill AFB. President Bush visited the base today and we were warned that the gate pileup might be even worse than usual. It wasn't that bad.
Anyway, I'm sitting at my desk about 1:30 this afternoon when I happen to glance out the window. Air Force One passed within a couple hundred yards of me as it took off. :shock:
So now I've shook hands with Jeb and been within a quarter mile of GWB.
Kinda cool.
