Grrrr... more ice!

Okay, what is up with all this ice in the South? Here we are getting another ice storm. I just walked the dog and took a fun spill down the front steps. He looked at me with this, "wow, that looked like it hurt" expression.

I love the mild winter but this ice stuff just got to go :x

could be worse....Here in NJ were looking at 1 to 2 feet of snow by tomorrow night.
Actually, ice and snow are great things, on the Travel Channel
If I want hard water, hey! I got that electric box in the kitchen!

We've been mostly in the 70s around here. It's a rough life, but somebody's gotta live it.

Bluebonnets are blooming, cottonwoods are leafged out and the mesquites are beginning to green up. The doves and rabbits are getting into Springtime lust...

Life is Good.

Not to mention close proximity to the Study Butte Mall! :D
Yeah, the source of all wisdom can be found at the Study Butte Mall. Or Ms. Tracy's Cafe.

80F on my front porch, right now.

It's cold today with the rain it in the low 60 :D
Winter is usually our dry season, but we had a slow, soaking 1/2" of rain yesterday. I four-wheeled out to the pavement, and 80 miles up to Alpine to get a hydraulic hose made for my backhoe. Got back, and Terlingua Creek had flashed off! Not very deep, fortunately.

Sometimes it's too deep to cross, per the attached photo

I guess the spookiest time was once when I misjudged the depth. I discovered that I could make it with the headlights under water. A buddy of mine who was watching told me later that the tail-lights had briefly disappeared...:D

Ah, the great outdoors! The joys of country living!

Ice?

That's for coolers and glasses (preferably scotch), not to walk on!

Been cold and rainy here all week (in the 40s & 50s). Right now it's sunny and 'bout 70 degrees. Buds on the oaks promise leaves soon. Girls in shorts promise another pretty season.
