I went to our local collectors club gunshow and found a really swell 1903A3 that didn't break the bank. I have a Smith Corona but this one is a Remington. It has all the right cartouches, FJA in a box, ordnance wheel, P proof, as well as an Augusta aresnal rebuild stamp. The thing looks like it was never issued after the rebuild. The parkerizing is about 99%, and the stock has no dings or dents. It was missing the middle band with the sling swivel. The parts are on the way.I paid $500.00, I thought that was pretty reasonable these days.

Barrel date is 9/43. It appears to be a 4 groove.

No the whole rifle has been parkerized, there is an Augusta Arsenal rebuild cartouche as well as FJA in a box. It looks like it was never issued after the rebuild.
