gag... ask Tina
That was unkind, my chicken was rather well received, not to mention I grilled onions for the only guy who requested them... :)

Queries Charlie;
1.) What is Gunstock?
2.) Is it a private party or can anybody show up?

Gunstock is a more or less annual social/shoot event that was started back in the days of the Prodigy Shooting Sports BB.

Not just ANYbody can show up... but it is open to members of this august body.

Typcially we get together on Friday evening and then most of the day Saturday at the range. This year it is at Mid Carolina gun club in Columbia, SC.

Fernando arranges a group rate at a nice, and convenient, motel but otherwise there is no charge.

Yes Walt, you will be cooking again. I have the good, expensive Tequila for you to cook with.

I'll bet you do - I'll come down a day early so we can make another suicide run to Costco... :)

Directions to the Range

Mid-Carolina Rifle Club (MCRC) is an outdoor shooting range located about 2 miles south of the towns of South Congaree and Pineridge. Here are directions to the range:

From I-26 East
Coming from Greenville-Spartanburg area or I-20 East to I-26 East Take exit 115 and take a right off the exit ramp (toward Swansea). At the traffic light at the top of the hill take a right onto Fish Hatchery Road. After about 5 miles, you will come to a stop sign, and a road sign that indicates Busbee Rd to the left, and Fish Hatchery Rd to the right. Turn Right. Once you pass Forest Manor Mobile Home Park, look for a dirt road to the left.

From I-26 West
Coming from Charleston, Orangeburg or I-95 South Take exit 115 and take a left from the exit ramp (toward Swansea). Go under the interstate and continue to the traffic light at the top of the hill. Take a right onto Fish Hatchery Road. After about 5 miles, you will come to a stop sign, and a road sign that indicates Busbee Rd to the left, and Fish Hatchery Rd to the right. Turn Right. Once you pass Forest Manor Mobile Home Park, look for a dirt road to the left.

From I-77 South
Coming from Charlotte or I-20 West (Exit 76) to I-77 South As you approach the I-77 and I-26 interchange, you will see a sign for Exit 1 (Cayce). Exit here (before getting to I-26). At the end of the exit ramp, at the traffic light, proceed straight onto Fish Hatchery Road. After about 5 miles, you will come to a stop sign, and a road sign that indicates Busbee Rd to the left, and Fish Hatchery Rd to the right. Turn Right. Once you pass Forest Manor Mobile Home Park, look for a dirt road to the left.

Nearby Airports

Columbia Metropolitan Airport
The Columbia Airport is the closest, just minutes from the Country Inn & Suites and about 10-15 minutes to the range.

Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT)
The Charlotte Airport is larger with more direct flights coming in to it. It is about an hour and fifteen minutes from the hotel.

More information to follow

Ok, Sam's Club, Costco, we call it the hundred dollar store here.

Speaking of washing dishes, I have a really epic picture of you doing just that if you'd like me to post it... :)

Hey guys Gunstock is not far away and it's time to start making travel plans. Motel arrangements will be posted tomorrow but we need to start getting a head count to see how much beer and burger stuff to scrounge.

You can let me or Fernando know by PM if you don't want to tell the world.
