it's the "climate" of being over here- they percieve weapons as being "frown upon" in our society, so they're been emasculated- a kirpan against a pistol isn't much of a fight, and up here they have to be pop-riveted to the sheath- in other words, you couldn't draw it if you wanted

no, the government, such as it is, doesn't recognise that as a weapon- indeed, there's a GAME called quoits that as well played in certain circles as cricket- however, shurikens, nunchucks and other martial arts weapons are banned- because the kirpan is clearly a knife, it must be "harnessed"

fwiw, i'd bet that the temples from now on will be really bad places to target for mass killing grounds. ==> a couple of shotguns work really well against 2-legged & 4-legged predators.

fyi, i had a room-mate in college who was Sikh & he was NO "pussycat" when angered. - he "took down" a guy on campus (who attacked a coed) with a softball bat.
(36" of good hardwood, across the back of the creep, worked WELL!)
