...and nobody told her to keep her finger off the trigger ;)
Oh, please. It's a Walther PP in DA mode. NOBODY's going to pull the trigger accidentally on that thing; it's all you can do to pull it deliberately when you want to ever-so-badly. ;)

Besides, she's a Russian assassin. Prolly hasn't spent a whole lot of time on NRA-approved US ranges. Remember the old Russian saying: "Is GONN! Is SUPPOSED to be DANGEROUS!!!" ;);)

Now if only we could get the lovely and talented Ms. Katic, or the even more lovely Christina Hendricks, to give it a whirl with a Serious Fighting Pistol as God and His Prophet John Moses Intended... LOL

Not trying to start a war or anything and I'd agree if it were Beckett or Bones and nobody told her to keep her finger off the trigger ;)
Post Two of Four (Here and Elsewhere): First time posting in some time and I couldn't pass by this one.

Lighten up, this is supposed to be the early 80's ('81 in some of the show materials) and everybody's fingers were on their triggers. Give it a few years until the Glock and their instructional insistence to do otherwise became the norm and see what's she's doing then.

I have only seen a few episodes of this show but in those that I watched, revolvers were seen and there was at least some one-handed firing. Things weren't perfect historically or technically but they weren't bad for what passes as TV these days.

Charlie, give up on Ms. Deschanel the elder. Her show has gone from having her shoot a Bureau-owned Thompson on the range for fun in a long-ago installment to a more recent and non-stop series of nothing but anti-gun episodes. Too bad.

I have to agree with Snake on this one. There's NOTHING about her character that indicates she gives a rats about anything but killing evil kapitalists!!

Her character is very fun to watch on the show. She's very intense, and dedicated to a fault.

It's a little far fetched series, but it's well written, directed fairly well. and acted well; so I like it. Her character really makes the series though. And she's not too hard on the eyes to boot.

By the way they're dressed and how young they look, I'm betting they're reservists out enjoying themselves in-between drills. Still, I'll bet every last one of them knows how to bring those rifles to bear in very short order, and use them quite effectively. That's one hell of a deterrent to "random violence". Probably why the Palestinians have changed to mostly rocket attacks, which piss off the populace, but are typically not very effective.

Other thing to consider re Bones: a lot of the pro-gun bent was before Ms. Deschanel moved up from just "meat-puppet" into being one of the producers as well... though it's not unexpected with her being one of those radical animal-rights whackjobs.
