Many years ago I was strolling along the Georgetown waterfront in DC with a girlfriend when a monstrously-endowed woman came walking along in the opposite direction. Far from trying to hide her assets, she was dressed in a bright red spandex top that left very little to the imagination. People of both sexes were ogling her as she walked by, and she left a palpable air of sexuality in her wake. With some effort I avoided turning my head to see if the trunk was as beautiful as the headlights.
After a few seconds my date broke the uncomfortable silence and said, "Well, that was quite a sight."
Now, there are times in a man's life when he has the maturity and experience to realize that he's facing a fork in the road. Down one path lies disdain, rejection, loneliness, and a bitter chill. Down the other lies pleasure, warmth, and satisfied contentment. I somehow realized at that moment that I was facing just such a choice.
"What?", I asked.
It was a very good night.
