With all of the threads regarding the desire to stock up on ammo, I was wondering what the maximum amount of rounds one can legally store in a home, apartment, townhouse, etc. without some sort of an ammo license?
SpecialEd,It doesn't matter if you have one box of rounds or hundreds of boxes, when you die the paper will say you had an "arsenal" in your house.
Correct. I have also read an article which supports your statement tooI've never heard of any federal regulations. Check your state, county, and town. Homeowner associations and insurance policies might have something to say, too.
Truth to tell, I don't think I've ever heard any concerns about this, nor anyone ask the question, so I don't think it's a huge problem, except possibly in some local areas.![]()
Ummm...I wouldn't. This is exactly the kind of question that stirs up concern where none existed before. To find out you can contact city hall or probably the fire department.
Can you share that article with me?Correct. I have also read an article which supports your statement too
Right!Ummm...I wouldn't. This is exactly the kind of question that stirs up concern where none existed before.
If you really have to ask a question like this, start with something else. For example, walk into city hall and tell them you want to be in compliance and would like to know how many 100-gallon vats of llama milk you're allowed to store on the premises. If, within a week or so, there's a new llama milk ordinance in front of the city council and candidates for Llama Milk Compliance Officer are being interviewed, I'd probably hold off on the ammo question.
