Unless they disposed of them elsewhere, the French have a LOT of FN of Belgium BHP & "1st Model" Beretta 92S pistols, as well as Model 10 S&W.

I'd buy another pair of BHP if I could.

Didn't they also have some Smith 547s--9mm?

I was just about to ask what's an average number of drops on used French handguns?

IIRC, and the source was good, the French S&W's had a manual safety.

It may have been a subtle safety. Someone here in the US figured out that if you moved the thumb piece very slightly forward, the bolt would block the hammer. With a wee bit of machine work, the back of thumb piece could move upward into a notch and act as a safety. Wiping the thumb piece back to normal position would move it off safe. Per my source, a patent was issued on the system.
