Baltimore Riots/ Hubble Anniversary

First Half: In the first half, political commentator and economist John Lott reacts to breaking news on the riots in Baltimore.

In the latter half, space historian Robert Zimmerman reflects on the 25th anniversary of the Hubble Space telescope which has reinvigorated and reshaped our perception of the cosmos and uncovered a universe where almost anything seems possible within the laws of physics.

Well just speaking as a non-LEO the riots at Baltimore should be interesting. It seems to me that they have been a textbook example of how not to handle a riot.

C to C AM is an interesting show .... too bad it's on when I'm asleep. I try to record the more interesting programs, but then again, one must find the time to listen to the recording, and that is not so simple.
I missed last night ..... John Lott is always interesting.

Speaking of Baltimore, I heard the mayor say on the radio that some people were there to destroy things and she would give them room to do it. She's a typical liberal retard. I guess she gave them plenty of room.

I think these "riots" - quotation marks because I don't think they're riots, I think they're shopping sprees - would come to a rather quick halt if some store owners did what a few Asian store owners did during the Rodney King "riots" in Los Angeles. Arm themselves and assure people who were gathering to hit their businesses that they would (and on more than one occasion did) shoot at them if they tried.

Their stores were pretty much untouched.

Some newscasters were saying that these people, and I use the term generously, were acting out a movie made a few years ago where in the future, all laws were suspended for 24 hours each year to allow folks to run wild. I can almost believe that.

Best thing I saw was video of what is apparently a young masked thug's mother grabbing the scrote with one hand and beating him repeatedly about the head and shoulders, screaming at him to stop that nonsense and come home.

God Bless her. We need more parents like that.

I saw "Her Honor" the mayor of B'more DENY that she ever said that she was giving people space to "destroy". - When she was reminded that she was on WBAL TV saying that, she said that she was "taken out of context".

The more that I learn about DIMocRAT libtards, the better that I like poisonous snakes, venomous spiders, scorpions & rats.
