My father and his brother bought two Model 12's in 1923 or 1924. I have my dad's gun but his brother's has gotten out of the family. We know the gun was last known to be in the Reading PA area. I know this is a really long shot to find this gun but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

My dad's gun's serial number is 339071 so we are looking for 070 or 072.

We are not collectors just trying to locate a special gun for a family member.

Just out of curiosity, what makes you think they had consecutive serial numbers? The model 12 was produced in large numbers, and I'd think that the odds against any dealer having consecutive serial numbers in stock and selling them on the same day would be pretty large.

Even if you find 070 or 072, how will you know it was your uncle's?
